Senior Software Technical Support

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer / Agile Delivery Lead to support a shipping company focused on enterprise software development and digital transformation initiatives. This position is ON-SITE at Merrifield, VA. The Software Engineer / Agile Delivery Lead will manage software development efforts throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring successful delivery from project initiation through implementation. Responsibilities for the Software Engineer / Agile Delivery Lead include:

• Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from project assignment through implementation and deployment.
• Monitor and maintain optimal system performance while proactively identifying and mitigating project and technical risks.
• Support change management efforts, dependency management, and Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis to develop and maintain risk burndown charts.
• Lead team velocity tracking, capacity planning, and project execution activities to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Recommend, implement, and continuously improve software development processes, methodologies, and operational efficiencies.

Required Qualifications for the Software Engineer / Agile Delivery Lead include:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development environments.
• Experience managing projects through the full SDLC lifecycle.
• Experience with dependency management, Critical Path Method (CPM), risk burndown chart development, team velocity analysis, and capacity planning.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, time management, budget management, risk management, problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Architect, and/or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Compensation for the Software Engineer / Agile Delivery Lead includes:

Salary Range: $90,000 - $145,000 depending on experience
