QA Automation Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to support the modernization of a mission-critical Navy application focused on radiation exposure management. This individual will play a key role in ensuring software quality through automated and manual testing, collaborating closely with development and engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions.

Responsibilities of QA Automation Engineer

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for NAVREMS software, firmware, and data modules 
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to validate new features and enhancements
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and deployment readiness activities
• Create and maintain test plans, test scripts, and testing documentation
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for quality improvements
• Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and operational requirements

Qualifications for QA Automation Engineer

• High school diploma, GED, military experience, or equivalent technical/trade school background
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or test automation
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications for the QA Automation Engineer:

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or QA Automation
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, or similar
• Knowledge of scripting or programming languages including Python, Java, or JavaScript
• Experience executing manual and automated testing processes
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required

Compensation for the QA Automation Engineer

• $80,000-$90,000 Based on Experience
• Remote
