Business Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a growing healthcare insurance organization in North Carolina. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Business Analyst who excels at gathering requirements, driving process improvements, and partnering with stakeholders to deliver effective business and technology solutions. Responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst :

• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and functional requirements for complex projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and project teams to validate requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Develop and maintain requirements management plans, traceability documentation, and change control processes
• Support business readiness activities, including communication planning, training support, and organizational change initiatives
• Analyze business processes, workflows, and system functionality to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions
• Design and conduct post-implementation reviews, gather user feedback, and implement continuous improvement strategies
• Develop reporting and performance measurement tools while ensuring data integrity and operational effectiveness
• Create presentations and documentation for management and executive leadership audiences
• Identify project risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and escalate concerns as appropriate
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts through peer reviews and knowledge sharing

Qualifications of the Senior Business Analyst:

• 5+ years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related experience
• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
• Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements for complex projects
• Strong background in business process analysis, workflow mapping, and requirements traceability
• Experience working cross-functionally with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership
• Knowledge of business analysis methodologies including process mapping, use case development, and workflow analysis
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects from requirements gathering through implementation

Compensation & Location of the Senior Business Analyst :

• Salary: $80,000 - $87,000 annually
• Fully Remote
