Project Manager III Job Description

Job Summary:

Piper Companies is seeking a Project Manager III to support a company supporting U.S. Army aeromedical and injury biomechanics research initiatives. This position is onsite in Fort Rucker, AL.

Responsibilities for the Project Manager III include:

• Lead and coordinate injury biomechanics research and development projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and risk assessments.
• Monitor project performance, milestones, and deliverables while providing status updates to leadership.
• Coordinate meetings, technical reviews, presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Support data management activities, documentation control, and quality assurance efforts.
• Collaborate with government personnel, academia, industry partners, and research customers.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for research studies, testing events, and field data collections.

Required Qualifications for the Project Manager III include:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of project or program management experience.
• Experience managing project scope, budget, schedules, performance, and risk.
• Knowledge of medical research, injury biomechanics, laboratory operations, or data management environments.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation for the Project Manager III includes:

• Salary Range: $98,000 - $108,000 annually.
• Full Benefits Package: provided in interview process
