Senior UI/UX Designer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a company focused on developing mission-critical big data and enterprise applications for government customers. This position is on-site in Annapolis Junction, MD or Reston, VA. The Senior UI/UX Designer will lead the design and evolution of complex, workflow-driven web applications, creating intuitive user experiences that enable users to efficiently interact with large datasets, analytics platforms, and operational systems. This is an opportunity to directly impact mission success by designing the tools that drive critical decision-making and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities for the Senior UI/UX Designer include:

• Lead the design of user-centered interfaces for complex enterprise and big data applications.
• Gather and translate user, stakeholder, and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and production-ready designs.
• Document user workflows, business processes, and end-to-end user journeys across interconnected applications.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, developers, and Agile teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and consistently.
• Develop and maintain design systems, UI standards, and reusable components to improve usability, accessibility, and visual consistency.

Required Qualifications for the Senior UI/UX Designer include:

• 18+ years of experience in UI/UX Design, Human-Centered Design, UI Development, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience designing complex enterprise applications, documenting user workflows, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for four (4) years of experience; Master's degree may substitute for six (6) years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with current CI Polygraph.

Compensation for the Senior UI/UX Designer include:

Salary Range: $162.17/hr - $173.52/hr depending on experience
