ABAP Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer to support a federal modernization program. This position is fully remote and is an exciting opportunity supporting a large-scale SAP S/4HANA initiative focused on transportation, logistics, and enterprise business systems.

Responsibilities for the SAP ABAP Developer include:

• Develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW).

• Design and enhance SAP S/4HANA applications using modern ABAP development tools and best practices.

• Build and support SAP Fiori/UI5 applications and OData services.

• Develop integrations using APIs, BAPIs, IDOCs, REST, SOAP, and related SAP technologies.

• Create technical documentation and support testing activities including UAT and integration testing.

• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.

• Collaborate with functional teams, architects, and stakeholders in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications for the SAP ABAP Developer include:

• 10+ years of software development experience with 5+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.

• Experience supporting SAP ECC 6.0 and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.

• Strong knowledge of ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, and SAP Gateway.

• Experience developing integrations using BAPI, IDOC, REST APIs, SOAP, XML, or related technologies.

• Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, and modern SAP development tools.

• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required

Compensation for the SAP ABAP Developer includes:

• Salary Range: $125,000-135,000
