Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Multi-Cloud Engagement Architect to support client cloud transformation and modernization initiatives. This position is a full-time remote role. As an Engagement Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading cloud strategy, architecture design, infrastructure modernization, and secure cloud adoption efforts across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead customer discovery workshops to understand business objectives, technical requirements, and cloud transformation goals.
- Develop client cloud and security strategies, vision-state architectures, migration roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Design secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Author and peer review architecture, design, and security documentation aligned with industry standards and vendor best practices.
- Define Infrastructure-as-Code deployment strategies leveraging Terraform and modern cloud automation practices.
- Partner with customer application teams to identify dependencies, migration sequencing, and modernization opportunities.
- Lead large-scale cloud architecture and design engagements supporting both greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor and subject matter expert for cloud architecture engagements.
- Contribute to cloud program management initiatives, service delivery models, and strategic planning efforts.
- Support implementation teams throughout deployment activities, providing architectural guidance and issue resolution.
- Conduct cloud configuration reviews and clearly document business, technical, and security requirements.
- Assist in designing secure, Federal and Defense-compliant cloud solutions in collaboration with compliance and security experts.
- Provide architecture and design guidance for cloud networking technologies including VPCs, Transit Gateway, firewall solutions, and secure connectivity patterns.
- Manage project risks, communicate progress to stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Deliver quality work products within established timelines and budgets while maintaining strong client relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- 6+ years of security systems engineering and architecture experience.
- 5+ years of cloud architecture experience supporting AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience designing and implementing secure enterprise cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code principles and automation methodologies.
- Previous experience supporting clients within a professional services or consulting organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance security requirements and business objectives while making risk-based recommendations.
- Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Experience developing architecture documentation, technical diagrams, and client-facing deliverables.
Preferred Certifications / Skills:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
- GIAC Public Cloud Security Certification
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks
- Cloud networking experience with Palo Alto, Cisco ASAv, VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, VPNs, and related technologies
- Experience using Lucidchart, Jira, and Smartsheet
- Knowledge of encryption technologies including TLS/SSL, PKI, and key management solutions
- Experience supporting cloud compliance frameworks and regulated environments
Compensation:
- $120,000 - $160,000 *depending on experience*
