Cloud Security Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Google Cloud Security Engineer (Professional Services Consultant) to support a company focused on enterprise cloud security consulting and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security implementations. This position is remote. The Google Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and optimize cloud security solutions for enterprise customers while partnering closely with Google Professional Services teams. Responsibilities for the Cloud Security Engineer include:

• Design and implement Google Cloud security solutions for enterprise customers across complex cloud environments.
• Deploy, configure, and optimize Google Cloud Security Command Center (SCC), IAM policies, and cloud security controls.
• Secure GCP networking environments including VPCs, firewall configurations, network segmentation, and access management.
• Conduct cloud security assessments, provide remediation recommendations, and architect secure cloud solutions aligned with Google best practices.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders and Google Professional Services teams while developing technical documentation and implementation guides.

Required Qualifications for the Cloud Security Engineer include:

• 5+ years of experience implementing cloud security solutions in enterprise environments, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Security Command Center (SCC), Google Cloud IAM, GCP networking security, and Terraform.
• Strong customer-facing consulting experience with the ability to lead technical discussions and communicate security best practices to stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• No clearance required.

Compensation for the Cloud Security Engineer include:

Salary Range: $70-$75/hour depending on experience
