Crash Simulation Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Crash Engineer to join a government consulting company. This is a 100% remote and full-time position.

 Essential Duties of the Crash Engineer:

• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of motor vehicle transportation related areas of research and engineering. 
• Demonstrate skill in development of analysis plans; research report review; assimilation, aggregation; analysis of evolving technologies enabling modern motor vehicle safety capabilities and in the development of presentations and technical reports. 

Qualifications of the Crash Engineer:

• 2+ years of experience. 
• Extensive experience developing presentations and writing technical reports.
• Experience or aptitude to work with topics like Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS), Crash Investigation Sampling System (CISS), Crash Reporting Sampling System (CRSS), and/or Motor vehicle crash-related data files.
• A strong understanding of, or experience with vehicle crashworthiness and restraint systems, vehicle full-scale crash testing, component level testing, New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) test procedures, and related data analysis.
• A strong understanding of, or experience with, vehicle ADAS

 Compensation for the Crash Engineer:

• $95,000 - $115,000 (based on experience)
• 100% Remote
