Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a mission-critical government program focused on delivering secure, scalable, and modern infrastructure solutions for a federal customer. This position is on-site in Fairfax, VA. The DevOps Engineer will support the development, automation, deployment, and maintenance of cloud and infrastructure environments while driving DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities for the DevOps Engineer include:
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform.
- Support containerized application deployments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and related technologies.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based environments while optimizing system performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain scripting solutions to automate operational and deployment processes.
Required Qualifications for the DevOps Engineer include:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, or related disciplines.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
- Strong Linux administration experience and proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; equivalent experience may be considered for qualified candidates.
- Active TS Clearance or higher required.
Compensation for the DevOps Engineer includes:
- Salary Range: Competitive and dependent on experience depending on experience
