Deputy Project Leader

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) to support our client located in Ashburn, VA. The Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) will support project leadership in delivering complex communications and electronic security systems, while developing the skills needed to independently manage large-scale integration projects. This role works closely with engineering, construction, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities of the Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) include:

·      Assist in leading project teams delivering telecommunications and electronic security infrastructure solutions

·      Support the design and deployment of information transport and communications systems

·      Manage day-to-day operations of project scopes or subprojects

·      Identify, price, track, and resolve change orders throughout project lifecycles

·      Monitor project cash flow, expenses, and budget performance

·      Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents

·      Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve construction and technical issues

Qualifications for the Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) include:

·      5+ years of experience with a telecommunications integrator or electrical contractor

·      Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

·      Experience supporting projects ranging from $500K to $10M

·      Knowledge of contract documents, RFIs, submittals, and change order processes

·      Experience with ITS installations and telecommunications infrastructure

·      Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management tools, CPM scheduling, and AutoCAD

·      Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Compensation for the Deputy Project Leader (Telecommunications) includes:

·      Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 based on experience
