Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Linux Administrator to join a Federal Program remotely. The Linux Administrator will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining Linux systems across various cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The Linux Administrator will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our multi-cloud environment.
Responsibilities of the Linux Administrator Includes:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Manage system updates, patching, and automate provisioning using scripting and configuration tools.
- Monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and optimize Linux servers and applications.
- Enforce security compliance through audits, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
- Provide support, manage backups and recovery processes, and collaborate with teams for deployments and troubleshooting.
Qualifications of the Linux Administrator Includes:
- Relevant degree with 2–4+ years of experience supporting Linux system administration in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience managing Linux systems (CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) across multiple cloud platforms.
- Proficient with cloud services in AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP for infrastructure management.
- Skilled in scripting (Bash, Python) and automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledgeable in monitoring tools and security best practices to ensure compliance and system reliability.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust government clearance
Desired Skills of the Linux Administrator Includes:
- Cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP are preferred.
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite for managing content and system lifecycles.
- Familiarity with vulnerability remediation and server hardening using DISA STIGs.
Compensation of the Linux Administrator Includes:
- $85,000- 95,000 (Based on Experience)
