Lead Requirements Manager (Secret)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Lead Requirements Manager to support a classified, next‑generation EO/IR system portfolio in Westminster, CO. This role is responsible for leading requirements decomposition, managing complex baselines, and ensuring rigorous traceability across highly integrated defense systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience working directly with customers, managing evolving requirements, and maintaining program integrity through disciplined requirements processes.

Work Environment:

Full‑time, on‑site role in Westminster, CO with a 9/80 schedule, supporting a highly classified program focused on next‑generation air‑to‑space and maritime‑to‑space sensing systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead decomposition of high‑level customer and mission requirements into detailed, testable subsystem specifications.
• Manage requirements baselines, including changes, updates, and impact analysis for customer‑driven modifications.
• Serve as the primary interface with customers for requirements discussions, ensuring clarity while maintaining scope and technical integrity.
• Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) and Requirements Verification Matrices (RVMs).
• Ensure full traceability between requirements, design, verification, and validation activities.
• Lead or support Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) to verify system performance against requirements.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, MBSE, and program teams to ensure alignment across architecture and requirements.
• Identify risks associated with requirements changes and drive mitigation strategies.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of requirements documentation across the portfolio.
• Support program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and customer engagements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in requirements management within defense, aerospace, or complex systems environments.
• Proven experience decomposing requirements for large, multi‑system programs.
• Strong expertise in requirements traceability, verification, and validation processes.
• Experience managing requirements baselines and conducting impact analysis.
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage customers and provide technical pushback when necessary.
• Experience supporting audits, reviews, and compliance activities related to requirements.

Tools & Technologies:

• Required: Jama
• Preferred: Cameo (MBSE integration experience a plus)

Clearance Requirement:

• Active Secret clearance required with SAP eligibility.

Compensation:

• Pay range: $220,000 - $260,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
