Deployed Support Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deployed Support Specialist to support a company focused on delivering mission-critical network and IT services to U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) deployed units. This position is on-site at Carderock, MD or China Lake, CA. The Deployed Support Specialist will provide technical network support during both planning and execution phases of deployments, ensuring secure and reliable communications in operational environments. Responsibilities for the Deployed Support Specialist include:

• Provide network planning support and real-time troubleshooting during deployment and exercise operations
• Configure, install, and maintain routers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DNS, Active Directory, and Exchange systems
• Assist in Information Assurance (IA) training and support D-30 deployment processes
• Coordinate deployment logistics including hardware/software transport, clearances, visas, and import permits
• Conduct post-deployment documentation, reviews, and coordinate return of equipment

Required Qualifications for the Deployed Support Specialist include:

• 4+ years of experience providing deployed or field network support
• Strong experience with Layer 2/3 routing, switching, and enterprise networking technologies (Cisco preferred)
• Knowledge of Microsoft environments; OEM certification required (e.g., CCNA preferred)
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Active Secret clearance required and IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) required

Compensation for the Deployed Support Specialist include:

• Salary Range: depending on experience
