Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Communications Network Engineer – Mid-Level to support a DoD program based in Pearl Harbor, HI. This position is a full time, onsite role. This position is critical in maintaining and optimizing enterprise communication networks, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of network infrastructure. As a Communications Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in network performance optimization, troubleshooting, and large-scale systems integration within a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and maintain communication hardware and software across enterprise environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Local Area Networks (LAN), Base Area Networks (BAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Administer and support network infrastructure, ensuring consistent uptime and optimal performance.
- Coordinate and execute network conversions, migrations, and system cutovers with stakeholders across multiple sites.
- Analyze network performance and implement configuration improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Integrate and test complex, large-scale computer networks and systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users to resolve network-related challenges and support mission requirements.
- Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Support compliance with organizational security and operational standards.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in network engineering or communications infrastructure support
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Active Secret Clearance (required)
- IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) (CCNA preferred)
- Strong experience with LAN/BAN/WAN configuration, troubleshooting, and administration
- Experience with large-scale network integration and testing
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical teams
Compensation:
- Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 *Depending on experience*
- Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K, Holidays, Sick Leave if required by Law
