Software Developer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to support a company focused on advanced defense aviation systems and mission-critical logistics software for next-generation aircraft sustainment. This position is on-site in Bossier City, LA. The Software Developer will design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications supporting complex, integrated systems in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities for the Software Developer include:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance enterprise-wide software applications
• Analyze system requirements and participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging efforts
• Develop and maintain applications using C/C++, Linux environments, and compiler toolchains
• Support system design, modeling, documentation, and troubleshooting of mission-critical software
• Contribute to continuous improvement in development processes within an iterative, team-focused environment

Required Qualifications for the Software Developer include:

• 2+ years of experience with software development in Linux/UNIX environments
• Proficiency in C/C++, Linux, GCC, and Makefile systems
• Experience with system/software design, debugging, command-line tools, and version control (e.g., GitLab)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Active Secret clearance

Compensation for the Software Developer includes:

• Salary Range: 75,000-85,0000 ** depending on experience**
