Sr. Elastic Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Elastic Engineer to support a company focused on delivering secure, mission-critical infrastructure solutions across federal and defense environments. This position is onsite at Hanscom AFB, MA. The Sr. Elastic Engineer will operate and scale enterprise Elastic Stack environments while ensuring reliability, performance, and security across distributed systems. Responsibilities for the Sr. Elastic Engineer include:

• Operate and support large-scale Elastic Stack environments (search, logging, observability)
• Manage Kubernetes-based Elastic deployments, with a focus on ECK
• Build automation for deployments, monitoring, and incident response workflows
• Integrate Elastic with SIEM/EDR and security tooling (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike)
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement observability frameworks (logs, metrics, tracing)

Required Qualifications for the Sr. Elastic Engineer include:

• 5+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps or platform engineering within production environments
• Strong experience with Elastic Stack (enterprise-scale deployments)
• Proficiency with Kubernetes (ECK preferred), Linux/Unix systems, and networking fundamentals
• Experience with observability platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Active or eligible for Secret Clearance

Compensation for the Sr. Elastic Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $180,000 – $200,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package
