Project Manager (P25 / LMR)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Project Manager (P25 / LMR) to support a company focused on large‑scale public safety radio communications and mission‑critical infrastructure deployments. This position is remote, with 40–50% travel to Central Maryland customer sites, warehouses in Timonium and Jessup, and other locations as needed. The Project Manager will oversee a portfolio of Motorola/Harris P25 radio projects, acting as the primary point of contact for deployments, upgrades, and servicing activities. This role directly supports systems relied upon by over 50,000 primary users and 125,000 interoperable users, ensuring reliable communications for critical operations.

Responsibilities for the Project Manager include:

• Serving as the primary point of contact (POC) for Motorola deployments and servicing activities across multiple projects
• Managing project scheduling, estimating, costing, and eventual quoting for a portfolio of approximately 20 concurrent projects
• Overseeing upgrades and installations across 200 RF sites and 50 console sites, including Geo Prime upgrades
• Coordinating with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery of P25 and LMR projects

Required Qualifications for the Project Manager include:

• 5+ years of experience in project management supporting Motorola or Harris P25 radio projects
• Experience with P25/Astro systems or Land Mobile Radio (LMR) technologies
• Strong understanding of RF site and console installations, with the ability to manage projects without hands‑on configuration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel for scheduling and tracking
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

Compensation for the Project Manager include:

• Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 depending on experience
