Sr. DevOps Engineer – TS/SCI

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer (TS/SCI) to support mission-critical, secure systems in a hybrid work environment. This role focuses on building and sustaining robust, scalable infrastructure while also contributing directly to full stack software development efforts within classified programs. The ideal professional combines deep DevOps expertise with hands-on application development experience and a proven background working in cleared settings.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, deploy, and support secure CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
• Provision and manage cloud-based and on-premise environments using Infrastructure as Code solutions like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications leveraging modern front-end and back-end technologies.
• Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes within high-security environments.
• Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, and architecture teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and compliant.
• Track system health, performance, and uptime while diagnosing and resolving issues across the technology stack.
• Embed DevSecOps principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Automate operational workflows and enhance system scalability, availability, and efficiency.

What You Bring

• An active TS/SCI clearance.
• At least 7 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, full stack development, or similar roles.
• Strong coding background using languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or comparable technologies.
• Proven hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Solid expertise with container and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in secure or regulated environments.
• Practical knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, networking concepts, and security best practices.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $190,000 – $250,000
• Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and legally required sick leave.
