Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Telecommunication Superintendent to lead field execution for complex telecommunications and electronic security construction projects in Rock Hill, SC. The Telecommunication Superintendent role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader with strong experience managing crews, schedules, budgets, and project delivery in active field environments.
Responsibilities of the Telecommunication Superintendent:
• Manage day-to-day field operations, supervising crews and subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
• Develop, maintain, and execute project schedules, including look-ahead planning, outage coordination, and re-forecasting as site conditions change.
• Track and manage project budgets, labor forecasts, and material costs to ensure alignment with approved estimates and financial goals.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract requirements, coordinating closely with engineering and project management teams.
• Validate project estimates post-award for constructability, manpower, materials, and equipment requirements.
• Serve as the primary field interface with customers, resolving issues, communicating status, and ensuring overall client satisfaction.
Qualifications of the Telecommunication Superintendent:
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Telecommunications Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant installation experience, or a high school diploma with 10+ years of installation experience in IT, cable, electrical, RF, or telecommunications environments.
• Experience supporting telecommunications or electronic security projects ranging from $50K to $5M.
• Strong background working with construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Experience with CPM scheduling, cost estimating, MS Office, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in fast-paced field environments.
Compensation for the Telecommunication Superintendent includes:
• Salary range: $100,000-$120,000 annual salary (depending on experience)
• Full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, paid holidays, and sick leave as required by law
