Forward Deployed Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to support customers leveraging the LIGER GenAI platform. This position is a full-time role that is 100% remote, with occasional short-term travel to customer sites across the United States as required. This role sits on the Sales Engineering team and is critical to ensuring successful customer integrations, deployments, and early-stage platform adoption in government and federal environments. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with customers to integrate advanced AI capabilities into existing business processes, rapidly translate ideas into production-caliber code, and ensure successful software deployments from proof-of-concept through post-sale stabilization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with customers to integrate the LIGER GenAI platform into existing business processes and workflows.
• Build new functionality and enhancements within the LIGER platform to meet customer-specific requirements.
• Ensure successful deployment and initial configuration of the LIGER platform, providing hands-on support for 60–180 days post-sale before transitioning to a long-term project team.
• Engage directly with customers in remote, hybrid, or on-site formats based on customer needs.
• Conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations showcasing LIGER’s capabilities and value to prospective and existing customers.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the LIGER platform’s capabilities and limitations to guide solution design.
• Provide technical consulting, guidance, and support throughout integration and deployment phases.
• Rapidly prototype and deploy new features in or around LIGER’s core platform in response to customer feedback.
• Collaborate closely with the core product and engineering teams to integrate new features into the platform roadmap.
• Document customer requirements, feedback, and deployment lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment and integration issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and support teams to deliver seamless customer outcomes.
• Travel occasionally to customer locations within the United States for direct engagements and support.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Advanced proficiency in Python
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience applying LLMs, NLP, and AI technologies to solve real-world problems
• Proven experience with MEAN Stack development and full-stack development in TypeScript
• Strong experience developing web applications using Angular
• Solid knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitLab
• Familiarity with cloud deployment models, particularly AWS GovCloud and/or DoD/federal environments
• Demonstrated experience integrating software solutions with existing business processes and APIs
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and security principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working with senior government and industry stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness and availability for occasional travel based on project needs

Compensation and Benefits:

• $140,000 - $210,000 depending on years of experience -
