Remote Forward Deployed Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a remote Forward Deployed Engineer in Washington, DC

Responsibilities for the Forward Deployed Engineer:

• Collaborate directly with clients to understand requirements, constraints, and desired outcomes.
• Propose, design, and deliver end-to-end technical solutions that address client needs using modern web and AI technologies.
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using the MEAN stack and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize backend systems in Python, emphasizing scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Develop and deploy LLM- and NLP-powered features that solve meaningful business and user problems.

Qualifications for the Forward Deployed Engineer:

• Active Secret clearance
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, and related AI technologies solving real problems
• Proven experience working with the MEAN Stack and full stack development in typescript.
• Experience with Angular and developing web applications
• Able to travel when needed (20% of time)

Compensation for the Forward Deployed Engineer:

• $145,000 - $250,000 *Depending on Experience
• Cigna Medical, dental, vision, Holidays, 401k, PTO and Sick leave as required by law
