Sr. Substation Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Remote Sr. Substation Engineer to assist with the EPMS design of a large data center development project. There will be minimal travel to job sites to assist with site observations, client meetings, factory witness tests, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Independently drive physical designs for electrical substations throughout design and construction phases (both new construction and upgrades/retrofits).
• Design high and medium voltage electrical distribution for large scale data center campuses.
• Oversee the production of one-line diagrams, conceptual designs, plan-section drawings, foundation, grounding, specifications, and any additional drawings needed to complete a comprehensive set of construction documents to build substations of varying sizes.
• Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers.
• Lead QA/QC process and sign off on engineering documents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
•  4+ years of Professional Substation Engineering design experience designing high/medium voltage power distribution, physical design, transmission line design, etc.
• Data Center, Oil & Gas, or Renewable Energy background
• Strong understanding of electrical codes
• Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM, and Revit

Compensation:

·      Hourly Rate: 68-77/hr
