Software Test Engineer-Top Secret Cleared

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Top Secret cleared Software Test Engineer focused on Agile software development methods to provide technical support to a program within USSF, Command and Control Systems.  This is an onsite role in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities for Software Test Engineer:

• Assess project objectives and propose requirements allocation across the system(s), inform design trades, author and manage systems engineering documentation (eg, technical writing), implement configuration management procedures, and review and assess contractor design solutions to determine if they meet requirements and recommend alternative solutions as necessary
• Work with development contractors to ensure developmental test objectives are consistent with applicable standards, instruction and policy.
• Putting all new software through the appropriate phases, not doing hands on testing but managing test process.
• Identify software development risks and notify the program management team, develop assessments of contractor software development, partner with the development contractor to guide software and integration and testing.
• Work with Government developmental and operational test agencies/organizations to develop the adequate test methodology consistent with the program manager’s expectations and other external stakeholders, as appropriate.

Qualifications for Software Test Engineer:

• Bachelors Degree in a technical degree pursuit and 10+ years of relevant experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Software test background-space systems is a plus.
• Requires an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI clearance (willing to consent to a counter-intelligence polygraph examination)
• Background in Agile Software Development with experience in the following areas:
  • Program Management (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, etc)
  • Development (e.g., DevOps, Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment, etc)
  • Architecture (e.g., Docker Containers, Kubernetes, etc)
  • Infrastructure (e.g., Cloud - Platform One)

 Compensation for Software Test Engineer:

•  Pay Range: $130,000 - $200,000 (based on years of experience and education)
• Benefits: Cigna medical, dental, vision, 401k, 2+ weeks PTO and 11 Federal Holidays
