CloudOps Engineer - 3rd Shift

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CloudOps Engineer - 3rd Shift to support our consulting client on a long term project providing multiple government agencies with their #1 product. This role is REMOTE and will operate between the hours of 10 PM - 6 AM to support our clients' growing need for 24/7 cloud coverage. Responsibilities:

• Configuration as code for infrastructure, system configuration, and application deployments
• Design and deploy cloud solutions on AWS
• Automate operations and maintenance activities
• Review security scan reports and address findings
• Apply patches, upgrades, and application deployments
• Monitor application availability and aide in resolving operational issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience with system administration of RPM-based Linux distributions (Amazon Linux, RHEL, CentOS, etc.)
• Automation experience with AWS cloud services (EKS, VPC, EC2, S3, CloudFormation, etc)
• Experience with fully automated infrastructure, system, and application deployment with technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience with shell scripting
• Experience with government and industry security standards (CIS, STIG, or NIST 800-53) and remediating issues identified during security audits
• Experience with version control and CI/CD pipeline tools
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance

Compensation:

• $100,000 - $135,000 *depending on years of experience*
