Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Technician to support a mission‑driven organization focused on enterprise IT user support and infrastructure services within a large public sector environment. This position is on‑site in Hyattsville, MD. The Field Technician will provide frontline technical support for end users across a high‑volume, SLA‑driven environment, ensuring reliable access to critical systems and services. This role directly supports operational continuity by keeping end users connected, productive, and supported.
Responsibilities for the Field Technician include:
- Providing outstanding customer support via phone and email for Windows 10/11 and Office 365 environments
- Logging, tracking, and resolving technical issues using a ticketing system while meeting established SLAs
- Supporting remote users through Citrix and VPN technologies, troubleshooting connectivity and access issues
- Performing basic network and system administration tasks including user account creation, password resets, and permissions management in Active Directory
- Troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and mobile devices across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS platforms
Required Qualifications for the Field Technician include:
- 2+ years of experience providing IT help desk or technical support services
- Experience with Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook), Active Directory, Citrix, and VPN technologies (Zscaler preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED
Compensation for the Field Technician include:
- Salary Range: $40,000
