Scrum Master

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Scrum Master to support a DoD program based in Orlando, FL. This position is a full‑time, onsite role. The Scrum Master will play a critical role in driving Agile delivery, ensuring teams operate with clarity, momentum, and alignment to program mission objectives. You will be responsible for leading Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, tracking team performance, and strengthening Agile maturity within a high‑visibility, compliance‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams supporting the Government program’s objectives.
• Facilitate all core Agile ceremonies, including daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with the Agile Program Manager, Product Owners, and stakeholders to ensure sprint goals are well-defined, achievable, and aligned to program priorities.
• Remove team impediments, coordinate dependencies, and escalate risks or blockers to maintain delivery momentum.
• Coach team members on Agile principles, values, and best practices to enhance Agile maturity and effective collaboration.
• Promote continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements, fostering open communication, and encouraging accountability.
• Track and communicate team progress using Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) and provide transparent reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support Agile adoption and help apply Scrum, Kanban, or Lean methodologies where appropriate.
• Maintain documentation of team activities, deliverables, and lessons learned to support ongoing process refinement.
• Ensure all Agile activities comply with Government standards and program requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Project Lead.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting at least two full Agile projects from initiation through completion.
• Proven success managing team-level delivery and coordinating across cross-functional or multi-disciplinary groups.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and Lean methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Agile Certification: CSM, SSM, or equivalent.
• Active Secret Security Clearance required.

Nice to Have:

• Experience supporting Agile transformation initiatives within DoD or large enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Agile Program Management practices and coordination with higher-level Agile leadership (e.g., RTEs, Program Managers).
• Experience working in or supporting government or defense programs with complex, multi‑stakeholder structures.
• Knowledge of Agile project tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to adapt Agile practices to hybrid or scaled environments (e.g., SAFe).

Compensation Includes:

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 - To be determined based on experience
