Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Architect to design, deploy, and sustain enterprise‑level PLM environments supporting Teamcenter, NX, Opcenter, Capital, and related Xcelerator‑based toolsets. This role requires deep expertise in infrastructure architecture, environment buildout, system configuration, and long‑term sustainment of mission‑critical PLM ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, extensive hands‑on experience, and the ability to architect secure, scalable, and high‑availability environments.
Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Architect:
- Serve as the primary architect and technical authority for enterprise PLM environments, providing leadership across infrastructure design, system buildout, configuration, and sustainment activities.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize complex environments supporting Teamcenter, NX, Opcenter, Capital, and associated enterprise PLM systems.
- Conduct environment architecture assessments and design scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational requirements.
- Perform in‑depth troubleshooting, triage, and root‑cause analysis for environment‑related issues, system performance concerns, and application functionality problems— including within secure or classified environments.
- Lead the review of system logs, infrastructure telemetry, and platform health indicators to proactively identify issues and implement long‑term corrective actions.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, PLM administrators, external SMEs, and security personnel to resolve technical issues and deliver stable, mission‑critical environments.
- Manage full lifecycle environment activities, including buildout, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup/restore, and high‑availability sustainment.
- Support PLM, ERP, and MES integrations into production and test ecosystems across distributed teams and multi‑tier architectures.
- Provide architectural guidance, standards, and best practices for PLM infrastructure, deployment methodologies, and environment management.
- Ensure documentation accuracy, configuration tracking, and governance across all PLM‑related infrastructure systems.
Qualifications for the Infrastructure Architect:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field; 5–8 years of relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience designing, deploying, or maintaining enterprise‑scale PLM environments.
- Extensive hands‑on experience architecting, deploying, and sustaining Teamcenter‑based infrastructures or comparable PLM solutions (ENOVIA, Windchill, Aras Innovator, Agile).
- Strong knowledge of Teamcenter installation and deployment methodologies, including Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM) and Deployment Center.
- Deep experience with PLM administration, configuration, and multi‑environment sustainment across test, integration, and production landscapes.
- Strong background in enterprise infrastructure technologies, including:
- Linux and Windows Server environments
- Virtualized and heterogeneous network infrastructures
- Web and proxy servers; cloud platforms
- Automation and scripting tools
- Identity and access technologies (Active Directory, SAML, SSL, SSO)
- Application platforms (Java EE, .NET)
- Databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
- Proven ability to design and maintain stable, scalable, and secure architectures supporting mission‑critical PLM operations.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams, including external consultants.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly articulate architectural decisions and complex technical concepts.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of operating independently with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) Cloud Computing SRG and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience leading or supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) initiatives, including requirements development and security documentation.
- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Compensation for the Infrastructure Architect:
- Salary: $74/hr - $84.hr
