VP of Consumer Lending

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Vice President of Consumer Lending to support our client in Hauppauge, NY. The Vice President – Consumer Lending will lead enterprise-wide consumer lending strategy, product management, underwriting, loan performance, and origination optimization across multiple lending products. This role directs staff, drives lending growth, and ensures product profitability and strong member experience across all channels.

Responsibilities of the VP of Consumer Lending include:

·      Drive consumer lending origination strategies, partnerships, and multi‑channel execution

·      Develop strategic plans, tactics, and KPIs to meet production, growth, and service goals

·      Manage consumer loan portfolio margin yields, monitor losses, and advise on pricing strategies

·      Partner with senior leaders in Finance, Risk, and Consumer divisions to align volume and margin targets

·      Oversee credit performance by vintage and ensure consistency across first and second line functions

·      Lead underwriting operations, policies, and staff development

·      Build and manage a high‑performing product management organization across all lending products

·      Define and iterate product strategies, workflows, and roadmaps for all lending portfolios

·      Improve loan origination experience, member NPS, and conversion metrics across channels

Qualifications for the VP of Consumer Lending include:

·      Bachelor’s degree required

·      Minimum 10 years of progressive consumer lending experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership

·      Demonstrated expertise with consumer LOS platforms, credit report analysis, and consumer underwriting

·      Experience with auto lending and credit card products required

·      Strong understanding of consumer loan origination, performance analysis, and product financials

·      Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Compensation for the VP of Consumer Lending includes:

·      Salary Range: $180,000-$200,000 depending on experience
