Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a forward‑thinking Instructional Systems Analyst to support a Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA) effort at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. This role directly influences the future of training systems for specialized Air Force aircraft maintainers and controllers, ensuring alignment with competency‑based training models, learning engineering principles, and evolving instructional methodologies. TSRA experience and an active Top Secret clearance are required.
Work Environment:
On‑site at Wright‑Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH, working closely with Air Force stakeholders and training development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate Air Force Aircraft Operations and Maintenance training programs to ensure alignment with mission needs, competency frameworks, and emerging learning methodologies.
- Integrate and analyze task analysis inputs from multiple vendors, conduct DIF analysis, and translate results into training requirements, learning objectives, and curriculum structure.
- Refine, expand, and develop TSRA documentation including detailed training needs assessments and system requirement definitions.
- Research and incorporate simulation‑based training technologies, adaptive learning methods, and future training tools into course design.
- Guide vendors on curriculum and media development to ensure alignment with TSRA outputs, instructional standards, and government program requirements.
- Collaborate with SMEs and government stakeholders to validate course content, ensuring compliance with Air Force operational standards.
- Work with instructional system developers, training engineers, and functional organizations to improve learning strategies and course effectiveness.
- Support the evaluation of learning management systems and training platforms, gathering requirements and preparing findings for government review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Instructional Systems Design, Learning Engineering, or Training Systems Engineering.
- Experience developing training programs for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), including simulator‑based training and mission scenarios.
- Background in instructional development, gap and task analysis, and competency‑based learning.
- Strong collaboration skills working with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, SMEs, and administrators.
- U.S. citizenship and active Top Secret clearance required.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree and 10+ years of related experience.
- Strong background in competency‑based training development and validation.
- Familiarity with Air Force training methodologies, competency frameworks, and assessment models.
- Knowledge of government training environments, instructional policy, and security considerations.
Compensation:
- Pay range: $90,000 - $110,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
