Deputy Project Leader

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deputy Project Leader to support operations in Boydton, VA. This role will manage telecom construction projects to ensure they are delivered on time, on budget, and to required technical standards. 

Responsibilities for the Deputy Project Leader include: 

• Lead design, deployment, scheduling, and coordination of telecom projects and subcontractors. 
• Manage budgets, cash flow, manpower planning, and overall project financial performance. 
• Handle estimates, proposals, change orders, documentation, and contract compliance. 
• Ensure timely project delivery, issue resolution, punch‑list completion, and continuous improvement. 

Qualifications for the Deputy Project Leader include: 

• 5–7+ years of telecom construction experience  
• Strong CPM scheduling skills using P6 or Microsoft Project. 
• Solid knowledge of fiber, structured cabling, CCTV, OSP/ISP copper, and DAS systems. 
• Proven leadership on complex projects (airports, federal aviation, higher‑ed, transit). 
• Proficient in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Accubid, and Microsoft Office. 
• Ability to obtain clearance 

Compensation for the Deputy Project Leader include: 

• Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 based on years of experience
