Product Manager, Deposits Accounts

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Manager, Consumer & Small Business Deposit Products to lead the strategy, development, and performance of our consumer and small business deposit product portfolios. This role plays a critical part in driving product profitability, growth, and innovation while ensuring our offerings remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with member needs.

The ideal candidate brings strong product leadership experience within financial services, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate strategy into actionable product solutions across cross‑functional teams. This is a hybrid, onsite role based out of Hauppauge, New York.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the end‑to‑end lifecycle of consumer and small business deposit products, from strategy to delivery.
• Conduct ongoing performance and competitive reviews of existing products.
• Identify new product opportunities and feature enhancements that support growth and member value.
• Lead new product launches and major enhancements, ensuring timely and high‑quality execution.
• Partner with the Senior Director to define and execute the strategic direction of the consumer deposit portfolio.
• Develop product roadmaps and tactical plans aligned with business goals.

Drive Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Serve as the product subject matter expert and primary point of contact for internal stakeholders.
• Provide product expertise and support to Retail teams, including product applications and exception pricing guidance.
• Lead cross‑functional teams across Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and other partners to deliver effective solutions.
• Influence and align stakeholders to resolve complex product and operational challenges.

Manage Financial Performance

• Lead annual budgeting and strategic planning for assigned deposit portfolios, including:
  • Deposit growth and flows
  • Fee income
  • Budget variance analysis
• Partner closely with Finance to forecast and monitor key business drivers such as:
  • Accounts and households
  • Balances and margin
  • Fee income and expenses

Ensure Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure all products and initiatives comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and risk standards.
• Support internal reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BBA, or equivalent) or a minimum of 8 years of directly related experience
• 5 or more years of experience in product management, product development, or product marketing
• Solid working knowledge of consumer and small business deposit products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Strong strategic and analytical skills with financial acumen
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage multiple initiatives
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
• Experience working within a regulated financial services environment

Salary

• Salary for this position is up to $160,000
  • Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and business needs, in accordance with applicable laws.
