Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support a nationally respected provider of health, science, and technology solutions serving clients in government and commercial sectors. The Cloud Engineer will play a key role in developing and managing robust CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications. This position will be on-site at Fort Meade, MD approximately 3 days per week.
Responsibilities of the Cloud Engineer include:
- Collaborate with teams to continuously improve DevSecOps processes and tools.
- Ensure deliverables meet user acceptance criteria.
- Manage self-directed assignments and meet deadlines with high-quality output.
- Serve as a trusted advisor for Cloud and DevSecOps automation and tooling, offering practical insights and recommendations.
- Recommend and implement industry standards for cloud and security practices.
- Integrate and enforce security measures within automated pipelines.
Qualifications for the Cloud Engineer include:
- Minimum Experience:
- 5+ years of DevSecOps experience.
- 3+ years working with Azure and other cloud environments.
- 3+ years of experience with application and operating system security.
- 3+ years hands-on creating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Helm, Nexus.
- 3+ years hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform.
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convey security concepts and risk-related topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred Skills:
- Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
- Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline.
- Clearance Requirement:
- Must hold or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Compensation for the Cloud Engineer include:
- Salary Range: $140,000 – $160,000
