Senior Software Developer **DHS Clearance Required

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Developer to lead enterprise data governance and integration initiatives for a federal client out of the Washington, DC area. The Senior Software Developer will be hands-on with strategic planning, technical leadership, and hands-on development. This role is hybrid and requires an ACTIVE DHS clearance.

Responsibilities of the Senior Software Developer:

·       Define technical strategies for data governance, metadata management, and integration platforms

·       Lead design and deployment of solutions leveraging Collibra APIs, Edge Server, and Java-based microservices

·       Implement automated data ingestion, lineage tracking, and governance workflows using event-driven tools

·       Oversee cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD automation pipelines.

Qualifications of the Senior Software Developer:

·       10+ years of experience in software development with strong Java expertise

·       Proven experience with Collibra, Collibra APIs, and Edge Server integration (required)

·       Strong background in leading federal IT projects and collaborating with technical and business teams

·       Experience with Kafka, AWS Glue and metadata automation

·       Experience with PowerBI and/or Tableau

·       Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation

·       Hands on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD Pipelines

·       Must have an ACTIVE DHS Clearance

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Compensation for the Senior Software Developer:

·        Salary Range: Between $135,000 - $160,000 depending on experience
