Sr. Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support a long term DoD project located in Radford, VA. This position will work to support a multitenant private cloud hosting environment to host a DoD customer's tactical applications that directly impact the warfighters. This is a fully onsite position that requires an Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:

• Senior level network engineer experience with at least five years of experience in implementing IT infrastructure systems, specifically focusing on networking infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in VMware NSX, including design, deployment, and management.
• Proficiency in network engineering, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and network security.
• Proficiency with core AECC networking components: NSX, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Routers, Cisco Nexus & Catalyst switches
• Familiarity with the VMware Suite of products: NSX, VSAN, vSphere, ESXi, ARIA, and other VMware tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to VMware infrastructure and network configurations.
• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and MPLS.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in IT field
• 10+ years of experience in Networking
• Active Secret Clearance.
• IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, CCISO, or HCISPP).

Compensation Includes:

• $90,000 - $155,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
