MECM Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions (ZPS) is seeking a MECM Engineer to play a crucial role in ensuring secure, stable, and scalable endpoint management across a large enterprise environment using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM). The MECM Engineer will collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service desk teams to deliver mission-ready systems supporting national objectives. This position will be onsite in Alexandria, VA!

Responsibilities of the MECM Engineer include:

• Manage and optimize the MECM/SCCM environment, including software packaging, patch management, operating system deployment (OSD), and compliance reporting
• Design and maintain task sequences and application packaging for scalable enterprise deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software deployment, patching failures, and OS imaging challenges
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell to improve efficiency and reliability
• Support Zero Trust-aligned endpoint configurations and security control enforcement in collaboration with cybersecurity stakeholders
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless endpoint management and a high-quality end-user experience
• Contribute to a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in endpoint configuration management

Qualifications for the MECM Engineer include:

• 5+ years experience in endpoint management and system administration, including MECM/SCCM in enterprise environments
• Proficiency with MECM/SCCM (enterprise scale)
• Experience with OSD, task sequences, and application packaging
• PowerShell scripting for automation
• Familiarity with patching and compliance reporting tools
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Clearance: TS/SCI (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Intune and Autopilot (co-management scenarios)
• Familiarity with reporting tools like SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) or Power BI
• ITIL Foundation or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MD-102)

Compensation for the MECM Engineer includes:

• Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
