Network Engineer-Cleared

 Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a TS/SCI Cleared Network Engineer to lead engineering and installation (E&I) support for inside/outside plant LAN wiring and fiber optic cable terminations for our federal customer who focuses on end-to-end managed IT services, including managed mobility, cloud, cybersecurity, network operations, and application development This is an onsite role in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities for Network Engineer:

• Install, monitor, manage, and support switches, routers, and data circuits for OMC voice, data, and video systems.
• Ensure secure configuration of network infrastructure in accordance with DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Maintain and update as-built cabling/fiber documentation and network diagrams.
• Configure and manage network encryption devices.
• Manage IP address allocations to optimize performance and maintain security.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve them.

Qualifications for Network Engineer:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred degree is in an IT-related field

·      IAT Level II cert (CompTIA Sec+, CySA+, CCNP, GSEC)

·      Active Top Secret Clearance, SCI required to start.

• Experience: 5+ years of similar experience
• Extensive experience with DoD network infrastructure and security protocols.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco or equivalent network devices.
• Experience with fiber optic and LAN cabling standards and practices.
• Experience with fiber optic and LAN cabling standards and practices.

Compensation for Network Engineer:

·      Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000 (based on years of experience and education)

·      Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision,  2+ weeks PTO and 11 Federal Holidays
