Software Development Engineer in Test - SDET

*This position requires an Active Top Secret clearance for consideration*

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an SDET to support a fast scaling client as they deploy ground systems software to multi-customer satellites. The SDET will build and automate tests, fix bugs of currently deployed software, and simulate thousands of satellites. This position is a mix of software engineering, DevOps, and testing. This is a hybrid position based out of Arvada, CO or Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Typescript / Javascript
• Experience with End-to-End test suites such as Playwright or Cypress
• Strong knowledge of containerized applications and serverless architecture
• Strong knowledge of testing and troubleshooting APIs services, distributed NoSQL and relational databases, caching systems, event-driven and multi-tier architectures
• Strong knowledge of task automation and CI/CD pipeline building, preferably with GitHub actions but not required
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar framework for version control

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• 3+ years [professional] experience in software test, backend development, DevOps, or other related role. Professional experience can be replaced with a self-starter who has drive, the technical skills, and is obsessed with their product.
• Experience supporting validation and verification for complex software systems
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance

Compensation Includes:

• $120,000 - $160,000 *depending on experience*
