Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CyberArk Engineer to support a high-impact federal initiative focused on securing privileged access across complex, mission-critical environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with a mature PAM program, lead upgrades/migrations, and directly influence enterprise-wide security posture. The role is remote with a competitive salary of $100,000–$120,000.


This is a remote position, that requires a green card or U.S. citizenship, along with the ability to travel to Alexandria, VA or Rockville, MD once a month.

Responsibilities for the CyberArk Engineer:

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CyberArk components including PSM, PSMP, PVWA, CPM, SCIM, and Digital Vault
  • Lead full-scale CyberArk upgrades and migration events, ensuring minimal downtime and accurate cutover
  • Configure CyberArk for RDP and SSH session workflows
  • Implement and troubleshoot CyberArk Auto-Discovery for domain-joined servers and endpoints
  • Analyze CyberArk logs, Splunk logs, and basic network/firewall logs to isolate and resolve issues
  • Support certificate management functions across CyberArk components
  • Collaborate with security, network, and platform teams to ensure PAM policies and configurations align with enterprise standards
  • Provide technical documentation and contribute to process improvements within the PAM program

Qualifications for the CyberArk Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on CyberArk engineering experience
  • Proven experience installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting:
    • PSM, PSMP, PVWA, CPM, SCIM, Vault
  • Hands-on expertise with:
    • CyberArk migrations
    • Auto-Discovery configuration
    • RDP/SSH session setup
    • Privileged session and account workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret CyberArk, Splunk, and network/firewall logs to isolate root-cause issues
  • Working knowledge of firewall rules, network flows, and segmentation as they relate to PAM
  • Experience with enterprise certificate management
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams
