Senior Power BI Administrator (Top Secret)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Power BI Analyst to manage and optimize the Power BI environment supporting a DoD program out of Omaha, Nebraska. The Senior Power BI Administrator will be responsible for overseeing platform administration, user access, data integration, and governance across the Power Platform ecosystem.

Responsibilities of the Senior Power BI Administrator:

·       Administer Power BI services and integrations across enterprise systems

·       Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure secure data handling

·       Oversee on-premises data gateways, including configuration and user management

·       Register and maintain data sources for cloud accessibility

·       Create and manage datasets, ensuring schema integrity and source connectivity

·       Provide expert-level support and mentorship to junior administrators

·       Implement automation and governance using Power BI REST APIs and PowerShell

Qualifications of the Senior Power BI Administrator:

·       10+ years of professional IT experience, including system administration and data analytics platforms supporting federal programs

·       5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI

·       Strong command of Power BI Desktop, DAX, Power Query (M Language), and Power BI Service

·       Familiarity with Power BI tenant settings, dataflows, gateways, and licensing

·       Experience with cloud and on-prem data sources (SQL Server, SharePoint, Azure)

·       Proficiency in building Power Automate flows and integrating them with Power BI

·       Ability to obtain ITIL 4 certification within 9 months of hire

·       Must hold or obtain within 30 days one of the following: CompTIA CASP+, Cisco CCNP Security, or ISC2 CCSP

·       Highly preferred certifications: ITIL 4 Foundations, Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified Power Platform Developer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, or any other AWS equivalent cert

·       Must hold an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance (with ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance)

·       Bachelor’s degree in related field

Compensation of the Senior Power BI Administrator:

·        Salary: Between $165,000 - $195,000 based on years of relevant experience
