Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Technician to support advanced aerosol research in a secure laboratory environment out of Frederick, MD. The Senior Laboratory Technician will be involved in hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and chemical systems used in aerosol exposure studies. ***Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an ACTIVE Secret Clearance***

 

Responsibilities of the Senior Laboratory Technician:

·       Operate and maintain specialized aerosol generation and sampling equipment for biological research

·       Assist in the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of aerosol systems used in animal studies and environmental testing

·       Support experimental procedures under the supervision of principal investigators, ensuring compliance with animal care and laboratory quality standards

·       Work within BSL-2 through BSL-4 labs, conducting aerosol exposure sessions

·       Assemble and validate aerosol systems outside containment zones, maintaining detailed logs of performance and maintenance

 

Qualifications of the Senior Laboratory Technician:

·       3+ years of experience working in regulated laboratory settings (BSL2, BSL3, and BSL4)

·       Experience performing molecular and immunology laboratory techniques

·       Knowledge of GLP, BSL3, BSL4, and IACUC protocols

·       Strong SOP writing skills

·       Experience working in aerosol or infectious disease research

·       Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

·       Bachelor’s degree in related field

 

Compensation of the Senior Laboratory Technician:

·        Salary: Between $60,000 - $75,000 based on years of relevant experience
