Technical Program Manager (Commercial)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Technical Program Manager to support a company focused on security systems within the commercial aerospace industry. This position is hybrid out of Washington, DC. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a growing company in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The Technical Program Manager will lead complex commercial programs in cloud and aerospace environments, ensuring successful delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities for the Technical Program Manager include:

• Oversee program execution, managing scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder alignment across multiple accounts.
• Serve as the primary interface for commercial customers, translating technical requirements into actionable plans.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, product, and business teams to resolve blockers quickly.
• Lead customer engagement through regular syncs, technical reviews, and program updates.
• Develop and maintain program documentation, including plans, reports, and customer-facing briefings.

Required Qualifications for the Technical Program Manager include:

• 5+ years of experience managing complex software, aerospace, or cloud-based programs for commercial customers.
• Cloud environment experience and ability to understand high-level software architecture and assess block diagrams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Computer Science, or similar).
• Software engineering experience with complex architecture and development.

Compensation for the Technical Program Manager includes:

• Salary Range: $150,000–$170,000 depending on experience.
