Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is searching for a Systems Engineer to join a next-generation defense aviation program that’s redefining how military aircraft are designed and deployed. As a Systems Engineer, you’ll be part of a team developing advanced systems for an aircraft designed to be twice as fast and have twice the range of current helicopters. Your work will directly support national security, tactical mobility, and the future of aerospace innovation.

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer:

• Perform system trade studies and analyses of alternatives
• Model system performance and conduct functional decomposition
• Design system interfaces and support requirements verification testing
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using CAMEO
• Participate in engineering technical reviews
• Document engineering work and artifacts in Engineering Data SDRL
• Collaborate onsite with engineers at a Lockheed Martin facility

Requirements of the Systems Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of systems engineering experience
• 5+ years of applicable domain experience
• 3+ years of MBSE experience using CAMEO
• Experience with DO-254 and DO-178 standards

• Avionic Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Design
• Glass Cockpit Systems
• Tactical Communications & Data Links
• Military Navigation & Sensor Systems
• Embedded Mission Computing
• Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) & Digital Backbone
• Aircraft Survivability Systems

Compensation for the Systems Engineer includes:

• Salary: Competitive, based on experience
• Per Diem: $2,848/month or Relocation Assistance available
• Schedule: 4x10 work week (3-day weekends!)
