Electrical Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring an Electrical Engineer to support a program that’s transforming how military aircraft are designed and deployed. As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll help develop and integrate advanced hardware systems for an aircraft designed to be twice as fast and have twice the range of current helicopters. Your work will directly impact national security, tactical mobility, and the future of aerospace innovation.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer:

• Conduct hardware trade studies, analyses, and design
• Support hardware engineering for production programs (factory following)
• Develop and validate hardware test procedures
• Perform hardware integration and troubleshooting
• Participate in engineering technical reviews
• Document engineering work and artifacts in Engineering Data SDRL

Requirements of the Electrical Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of hardware engineering experience
• 5+ years of applicable domain experience
• Experience with DO-254 and DO-178 standards
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and avionics hardware integration

• Avionic Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Design
• Glass Cockpit Systems
• Tactical Communications & Data Links
• Military Navigation & Sensor Systems
• Embedded Mission Computing
• Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) & Digital Backbone
• Aircraft Survivability Systems

Compensation for the Electrical Engineer includes:

• Salary: Competitive, based on experience
• Per Diem: $2,848/month or Relocation Assistance available
• Schedule: 4x10 work week (3-day weekends!)

• Location: Owego, NY preferred – Temporary remote option available
