Jr System Admin - Top Secret Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a skilled and proactive Jr System Administrator to manage and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions. This position is fully onsite in Las Vegas, NV.

Must have active Top Secret or Q level clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and maintaining servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure.
• Installing and configuring security software and hardware.
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Strong understanding of operating systems and networking protocols.
• Proficiency in system administration tools.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with IT policies.
• Support end-users with technical issues and provide training when necessary.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Collaborate with other IT staff on projects and upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret or Q clearance
• Active Security+ or RHEL certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA) are preferred.

Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000 ** depending on experience and degree**
