Lead OT/ICS SCADA Electrical Engineer (Secret or TS/SCI Clearance)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Team Lead OT/ICS SCADA Electrical Engineer for a permanent opportunity in San Antonio, TX. The lead engineer will mentor and lead 2-3 team members as a SME in the field. This position is essential to the advancement of security OT/ICS research and training, in support of national defense.

This position requires a Secret clearance, with a TS/SCI preferred (will require upgrade to TS/SCI)

Responsibilities:

·      Spearhead the OT/ICS SCADA lab team

·      Provide technical leadership, drive project success, and contribute to strategic planning and innovation

·      Design and build complex, secure, and scalable virtualized OT/ICS environments

·      Perform open source/web research

·      Developer and maintain Terraform scripts to provision and manage OT/ICS infrastructure

·      Configure protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC enabling interoperability

·      Assess vulnerabilities in OT/ICS systems using automated and manual techniques

·      Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines

Requirements:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar

·      ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE or higher

o  Must be eligible for upgrade to TS/SCI

·      5-7+ years of experience in OT/ICS systems

·      Experience leading/mentoring small teams

·      Expert level experience using VMWare/ESXi to build VMs

·      Expert level experience using Terraform and Ansible for automation

·      Understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, and network security

·      Experience in industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.)

·      Experience in Python programming

Compensation:

·      $175,000-$200,00 annual salary (depending on experience)
