MBSE Engineer (Relocation)

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our Engineering Center of Excellence and support advanced aerospace and defense projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment. This is a fully onsite role in Owego, New York.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to:
  • Conduct system trade studies and analyses of alternatives
  • Perform system performance modeling and analysis
  • Design system interfaces and develop functional models
  • Support requirements verification and testing
• Participate in engineering technical reviews
• Document work and artifacts in engineering data repositories
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and compliance

Qualifications for this position include:

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of systems engineering experience
• 5+ years of applicable domain experience
• 3+ years of MBSE experience using Cameo
• Familiarity with DO-254 and DO-178 standards
• Domain expertise in:
  • Avionic Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design
  • Glass cockpit systems
  • Tactical communications and data links
  • Military aircraft navigation systems
  • Embedded mission computing systems
  • Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) and digital backbone networks
  • Sensor and survivability systems

Salary/ Benefits Information for this position:

• $150,000-$180,000 depending on years of experience
