Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Electrical Engineer to join a classified defense aviation program located in Owego, NY through 100% onsite presence. The Electrical Engineer support hardware development for a next-generation military helicopter, including circuit board design, trade studies, integration, testing, and production support.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include:
- Design and develop hardware systems, including circuit boards
- Conduct hardware trade studies and analyses to support engineering decisions
- Develop and validate hardware test procedures and support integration activities
- Provide engineering support to production programs, including factory follow-up
- Document engineering work and artifacts in the Engineering Data SDRL
- Participate in technical reviews and collaborate onsite with engineers
Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer include:
- 7+ years of hardware engineering experience, including hands-on work with circuit boards
- 5+ years of domain experience in aerospace or defense systems
- Familiar with DO-254 and DO-178 standards for safety-critical hardware and software
- Experience supporting hardware design, integration, and testing in production environments
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- US Citizenship required due to the classified nature of the program
Compensation for the Electrical Engineer includes:
- Salary Range: $150,000-$180,000 **depending on experience**
- Per diem & relocation assistance available
