Systems Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a classified defense aviation program located in Owego, NY through 100% onsite presence. The Systems Engineer will use CAMEO to support electronic system development, conduct trade studies, design interfaces, model performance, and run verification tests.

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer include:

• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) using CAMEO to design and analyze electronic systems
• Conduct system trade studies, performance modeling, and analyses of alternatives to guide engineering decisions
• Design system interfaces and perform functional modeling and decomposition
• Execute requirements verification testing and document engineering artifacts in the Engineering Data SDR
• Participate in technical reviews and collaborate onsite with engineers in a secure, mission-focused environment

Qualifications of the Systems Engineer include:

• 7+ years of systems engineering experience
• 3+ years of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience using CAMEO
• Familiar with DO-254 and DO-178 standards for safety-critical systems
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• US Citizenship required due to the nature of the defense contract

Compensation for the Systems Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $130,000-$215,000 (L1-L5) **depending on experience**
• Per diem & relocation assistance available
