Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join a team as they build low Earth orbit satellites to deliver direct-to-device 5G connectivity. This is a direct placement opportunity located in Midland, Texas and is supporting shift work on a rotational basis from 4PM-1AM. The Associate Manufacturing Engineer will assist in developing, evaluating, and improve manufacturing methods and processes for the purpose of sustaining the manufacture of existing products as well as the introduction of new products.


Responsibilities for the Associate Manufacturing Engineer include:

• Assess new product concepts and designs for manufacturability and provide such assessment and recommendations to R&D/Product Engineering.

• Develop methods and processes to manufacture new products in the safest manner, at the desired quality standards, and at the lowest cost to meet projected demand in a timely manner.

• Conduct detailed process design, including layouts, tooling, fixturing, programming testing and documentation.

• Continuously improve current production methods using Six-Sigma methodologies and utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.


Required Qualifications for the Associate Manufacturing Engineer include:

• 1-3+ years of experience, with a preferred background in aerospace or automobile sectors 

• Experience with pFMEA/Lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma

• Experience with AutCAD, ERP/MES/PLM systems

• Willingness to support flex hours onsite 


Compensation for the Associate Manufacturing Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 **depending on years of experience**

• Full Standard Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k plan, Sick leave as required by law
